A month ago, I shared my Pennsylvania Farm Show Snapchat story with you. And today I would like to share my photos from that day so you can see how incredible it really is. There is lots to see and do…and eat! 
It’s the largest indoor agriculture exposition in the ocuntry which features over 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 300 commercial exhibits. It usually happens in January, for two weeks. 
I went with a couple of friends around 7.30 PM which apparently was the perfect time to go because it wasn’t too crowded at the time (it closes at 9). Since I had seen it before, I mainly went for two things, milkshakes and fried cheese! But in order to work up an appetite, we walked through all the animals first…and the free food samples section. lol…
A tip: you want to make sure you watch where you are stepping because there is a good chance you can step in cow dung at any time!
This garlic dip was pretty bomb!
Among all the sampling, one of my favorite thing was this cookie called Stroopie. It originates from Holland and now you can get them in Lancaster, PA too! Basically, a thin layer of caramel sits between a halved waffle-like cookie. (It took some serious skill to half the really thin cookie.) And the real way to enjoy it is by putting it over a hot beverage (like in the photo) which is supposed to melt the caramel making for a very enjoyable experience.
I would also like to add, this company supports refugees by helping to provide employment for them!
One last thing I get to before the food is the butter sculpture.
This is also a pretty big attraction in the Farm Show.

I guess it wasn’t as crowded in the rest of the show because everyone was in the food court. lol This place can get a bit overwhelming.

Pretty much anything fried is good lol. But since every time we come, we have the same thing, my friend wanted to try something new this time. She chose to get the maple cotton candy.
Our verdict was that it tasted like regular cotton candy. I don’t know what we were expecting lol. Check out the Snapchat video for somewhat of a more detailed review of it.
I love finding these kinds of things in places. The Farm Show is a pretty big deal in the city of Harrisburg and I think if anyone is around the area in January that it’s definitely worth a visit for a unique and fun experience!
