DIY Tea Party

I am so excited to share today’s post! I’ve been wanting to do a tea party for ages and I finally got a chance to do it a week ago. The weather was great, the sun came out and I felt like I could conquer the world! Does anyone else feel like that when the weather is good?DI

I guess you can say I did the tea party to celebrate the sun! haha (Warning: there will be a lot of exclamation points in this post!!)DIY Tea Party DIY Tea Party DIY Tea Party

For it, I made a banner, a few finger foods, set up a table, bought some flowers and put it all together. Flowers literally make everything better in my opinion! If you are ever having trouble setting up for anything, just buy flowers! I like getting them from Trader Joe’s, they are surprisingly affordable and have so much beautiful variety. To set the table, I mostly used things from my house. I put flowers in tea cups and utilized lace by hanging it with the banner as well as putting it on the table. I also made a tiered stand by using a cake holder, a cup and a plate. (I did borrow my friend H’s cake holder, no harm in borrowing things right?) DIY Tea PartyDIY Tea Party

For the food, I made egg salad sandwiches, chicken avocado rolls, brownie truffles, blueberry and cream parfaits and chocolate chip cookies. My friends brought pasta salad, veggie pinwheels and hummus!  DIY Tea Party DIY Tea Party DIY Tea PartyDIY Tea Party DIY Tea Party DIY Tea Party

I will be posting the recipes for all this stuff in the following weeks, so keep a look out! 😀

If you like the banner, you can snatch it from my Etsy shop by clicking here! It’s a printable so when you get it all you have to do is print it on card stock paper, cut along the lines and hang the individual pieces on a string using clothespins or the method I showed you in a previous post.

What do you think of my little tea party? Have I motivated you to host one? 😉
