A Road Trip on the Ring Road in Iceland

Iceland is every nature lovers dream! This country had been on my bucket list for a very long time and when I heard it was opening to tourists again in 2021, I knew I had to go immediately. After a year of no international travel, this seemed like the safest destination at the time (outdoor explorations). There were no reported COVID cases in the country and you could enter with proof of vaccination, so it was easy enough. It took me a year to make this post because there was just too much to cover. I did my best to be as helpful and informative as possible. I hope you enjoy my thoughts as well as the photos that most definitely do not do justice to it! Getting There I took a direct Icelandair flight from Dulles International to Reykjavik, Iceland from July 3-11, 2021. It was about a 6…

Road Trip: Los Angeles > San Francisco > Las Vegas – Part II

Day 3 San Francisco, CA to Bakersfield, CA Stop 1: Crissy Field, San Fancisco After eating breakfast, we headed up towards San Francisco. We went straight to Crissy Field to see the views of the Golden Gate Bridge, which was on the top of my friend, S’s list. We could have seen it up close and personal from the bridge itself, but I think we preferred this because it was less crowded here. There is a little hike here where you can go up and get better views. I only went up a little bit. Stop 2: Cod Mother’s Fish & Chips on Fisherman’s Wharf This was also another taco place…

Road Trip: Los Angeles > San Francisco > Las Vegas – Part I

I did a crazy thing last month and it was absolutely incredible! My friend, S and I did a 5-day road trip from LA to San Francisco to Vegas and back to LA. I say this was crazy because it was a lot of driving in the last end of the trip! It was also crazy because I planned it last minute. I was in the west coast for a week and S and I hit the road the day that I landed! I landed in Orange County, had lunch with a couple of friends and then started to heard up north. I will break the trip down in two parts because I have so many photos I want to share. Day 1 Los Angeles to San Luis Obispo (SLO) After having lunch in the OC at Eat Chow, and gelato from Scoops, we headed for San Luis Obispo. This…

Ann Arbor, Michigan

Do you guys have friends that you’ve been friends with most of your life? The kind of friends that no matter how long you’ve been apart or how long you haven’t spoken to, you still pick up right where you left off? I know I’ve said it before and I’m going to say it again, I am so fortunate and blessed to have many of these kinds of friends. The reason why I’m talking about friends and friendship is because recently, I had the opportunity to hang out with three such friends. All four of us grew up together in Maryland and we hadn’t been in the same place together in a really long time. I moved away to California, and eventually, two of them got married and also moved away to different states. So, in April, we decided we needed to change our lack of hanging out and have a mini reunion! This…
