Quebec City – Quebec, Canada

The rain had followed us there but luckily it wasn’t as bad. DAY 1 Our Hotel: Best Western Plus Centre-ville/City Centre Québec This hotel was about $87 a night, we stayed for two. It was a good deal for it’s location, just an 8 minute drive to Old Quebec. Plus, I am starting to realize, that it is always better to travel in packs of 4, that way splitting everything is so much cheaper! I recently did a one day trip to NYC with 3 friends and it ended up being only $39 per person including gas and everything we ate, and…

Snapchat Stories Series – NYC Day 1

Hello everyone! I have been a little MIA but that’s because I have been super busy. There have been weddings and other religious events that I’ve been a part of so I haven’t had much time to plan my blog posts. However, I have not stopped exploring. I took a friend around NYC and DC just this last week and I saved my personal snap stories from those days. I decided to upload the videos of those stories in hopes that some of you may enjoy them. I will have actual detailed blog posts of those days coming up in the near future! A Road Trip – LA to Chicago Day 3: Broken Arrow, OK & Springfield, MO

I will earn a commission at no additional charge to you if you make a purchase using my links.*The drive in Oklahoma and into Missouri was nice because we saw a lot of ranches and stopped near cows and horses to take some pictures. We didn’t spend much time in Broken Arrow except have Thanksgiving at my friend’s uncle’s house. Since this was during Thanksgiving break, there was no way I was missing out on a good turkey meal! The most memorable part of that night was the pecan pie and the bed in which I slept. Oklahoma knows how to make pecan pies and beds! Apparently they also have a huge corn festival every summer which is on my list of things to do; I love corn. So, Oklahoma, I will be back for you! We made a spontaneous stop at the salt mines in…

A Road Trip – LA to Chicago Day 2: Albuquerque, NM & Amarillo, TX

*This post contains affiliate links. I will earn a commission at no additional charge to you if you make a purchase using my links.* Okay, so after the Grand Canyon we kept driving and stopped in Albuquerque, NM to spend the night there. We decided we would have some sort of steak/burger dinner here since we had been so good at not spending our money on anything besides gas for day one. This some how ended up being a fail. Probably one of the first times yelp has ever failed me. We went to a place called Frontier Restaurant with over 700 reviews and 4 stars. I can’t remember exactly what we had but I remember a burger and a steak. They lacked flavor, maybe we didn’t order the right thing? Whatever the case, think before you go there. Anyway, the cheap gas in this state made up for the…

A Road Trip – LA to Chicago Day 1: Grand Canyon, AZ

*This post contains affiliate links. I will earn a commission at no additional charge to you if you make a purchase using my links.* I guess I should start by talking about how I got to Chicago. Well, I road tripped with two friends. And. It. Was. Epic! This was the longest road trip I had done sans family which was a pretty big deal. I think this is the appropriate time to tell you that I come from a very traditional conservative Pakistani Muslim family. Unmarried girls don’t usually do this sort of thing. Which may come as a surprise to most of the western world where as soon as you hit 18 you are allowed to do pretty much anything you want and essentially no one can stop you. Well, if I was moving to Chicago, this was the only way I was doing it and I’m so…
