This is a continuation of recipes from the tea party I did a couple of months ago. I learned how to make egg salad sandwiches very early on in my life. I picked this recipe up from my aunt who taught us how to make them at summer camp. I always remembered eating hers and loving the taste. And when she showed us exactly how to make them, I couldn’t believe how easy they were! Ingredients: -5 hard boiled eggs -1/4 cup mayonnaise -1 medium sized cucumber, chopped (I prefer the Persian ones) -1/2 tsp paprika -salt & pepper to taste -bread of choice -extra cucumber slices for garnish (optional) Instructions: 1. Combine eggs, mayonnaise, cucumber, paprika, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl. 2.Serve between slices of bread that you can either cut in half or like I did in cute little four squares. (To make them even cuter, you…

The Streets of Pakistan
As you can tell by the title of this post, I have finally started sorting through photos of my recent trip to Pakistan and I am so excited to share it all with you! This country, which my parents are from is one that is full of diverse cultures, a rich history and delicious food. Although I wasn’t born in Pakistan, I did move here when I was only 6 months old. I lived there for about 6 years in a town called Rabwah (now known as Chenab Nagar) which is located next to the River Chenab in the province of Punjab. The country itself is located in South Asia and is the 6th most populous in the world with over 197 million people! Getting to Chenab Nagar from the airport in Lahore is an experience in itself. Most of the highway is nicely paved, however as soon as you get…

DIY Flower Crown
In the spirit of spring and the fact that I love love LOVE flowers, I am going to show you how to make flower crowns! What you need: -Bouquet of flowers (one that includes filler flowers like baby’s breaths) -Floral Wire -Floral Tape -Wire Cutters -Scissors What you do: 1. Select the color combination you prefer 2. Cut the flowers, leaving about 1-2 inches of stem 3. Make little bunches of flowers and arrange them in a pattern you like so it will be easier to tape them on the wire when you are ready 4.…

National Cherry Blossom Festival – Washington D.C.
Hello all, I hope your March was spectacular, mine sure was! As you probably know I was off exploring and visiting family in Pakistan. It was a wonderful trip but now I am back and ready to go back to our regularly scheduled program. 😉 I know that it probably would have made sense to come back and post about Pakistan; however, I am in the middle of organizing all the photos so you will have to wait a little while longer. When I got back on Sunday morning, I was struggling with major jet lag. And the best way I knew how to tackle it was to avoid sleeping at 3 pm and go out to explore and stay awake! So the following day, I went to check out the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C. with my friend, A. Lucky for me the blossoms had reached their peak…
