Philly Cheesesteak Puff Pastry

On Super Bowl Sunday, a couple of weeks ago, we had a party and I tried my hand at something new. I’ve been seeing puff pastry dough and crescent roll dough being used in so many cool appetizers that I knew I had to make something utilizing them too. For that day, I chose puff pastry and decided to stuff it with cheese, steak, onions and bell peppers.     Ingredients: -2 sheet of puff pastry dough -2 packs of sliced provolone cheese -1 lb rib eye steak (or flank steak) -1 onion -1 bell pepper -1 tsp salt -1 tsp garlic powder -1 tsp paprika -1 tsp onion powder -1 garlic clove, minced -1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a mixture) -1 beaten egg -1 tsp sriracha (optional) Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 400F and line baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. Cut steak into small pieces, sprinkle them with…

Pennsylvania Farm Show 2017 – The Photo Version

A month ago, I shared my Pennsylvania Farm Show Snapchat story with you. And today I would like to share my photos from that day so you can see how incredible it really is. There is lots to see and do…and eat!  It’s the largest indoor agriculture exposition in the ocuntry which features over 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 300 commercial exhibits. It usually happens in January, for two weeks.  I went with a couple of friends around 7.30 PM which apparently was the perfect time to go because it wasn’t too crowded at the time (it closes at 9). Since I had seen it before, I mainly went for two things, milkshakes and fried cheese! But in order to work up an appetite, we walked through all the animals first…and the free food samples section. lol… A tip: you want to make sure you watch where you are…

DIY Yarn Wall Hanging

So, upon seeing countless boho style wall hangings on Pinterest, I decided I’d take a go at it myself. They all looked like they’d be very inexpensive and easy to make. And most of them utilized my favorite material from the backyard…a tree branch! lol For this project, I took inspiration from The Good Time Home Store Blog. What you’ll need: – yarn of your choice -a cool looking tree branch -scissors -ruler (optional) What you do: 1. Cut yarn into long pieces, all about the same size (you will cut them down to your desired length later) 2. Once they are all cut, tie them to the branch by folding the yarn in half and then looping it around the branch and through the hole. (like in the picture above) 3. Hang them all in your desired order. 4. After you are done tying all the yarn pieces to the…

Angel’s Gate Park – San Pedro, California

*This post contains affiliate links. Clicking them will not cost you anything.*  I was going through my old photos and making room for new ones when I came across some that I took of Angel’s Gate Park. I couldn’t believe I hadn’t shared these with you earlier because I went here on the same day as Sunken City, a year ago. And just like Sunken City, this park overlooks the Pacific Ocean, giving us the most incredible views ever. Besides appreciating the perfect ocean views, there’s a few other things you can do here, like fly a kite, have a picnic on the grass, or admire the Korean Friendship Bell (which I most definitely did). Booking.com This bell was given to the United States in 1976 by the Republic of Korea to celebrate the bicentennial of the US and as a symbol of friendship between the two nations. The bell itself weighs 17…
