Today I have the easiest most delicious dressing recipe for you, a creamy avocado cilantro dressing. And it goes great on literally everything! Creamy Avocado Cilantro Dressing Ingredients: -1 avocado -2 garlic cloves -1/3 cup yogurt -1/4 cup roughly chopped fresh cilantro -2 tbs fresh lemon juice (or lime) -2 tbs olive oil -1/2 tsp salt -1/2 cup water -1 green chili (optional) Instructions: 1. Place all the ingredients (except water) in a blender and blend until smooth. 2. Add water slowly until you reach a consistency you like. 3. Keep it in a tight container in the refrigerator for about 1-2 weeks. Tips: -If you don’t like things to be too garlic-y I’d stick with one clove of garlic. -It goes great on salad, fajitas, tacos or even that chili cheese dip I made recently. I hope you try it and let me know how it went! 🙂

Washington D.C. Architecture – National Cathedral
I hope everyone who celebrates, had a lovely Christmas! May you’re lives always be filled with love, happiness, laughter and delicious food! 🙂 Today, I am going to be sharing photos of a new place I saw during my visit to Washington D.C., the Washington National Cathedral. As an admirer of architecture, my friend suggested we check it out. This Gothic style cathedral was finished in 1990 and is the 2nd largest in the US and the 6th largest in the whole world! It really was massive and we could see it from really far away which makes sense because the top of its tower is the highest point in D.C. It’s located on top of Mount Saint Albans in Northwest Washington. Once we got to the area, we saw Olmsted Woods and noticed a pathway to through it called the “Pilgrim Way” and decided to take that up to the Cathedral.…
The Art of the Qur’an Exhibition at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.
As you know, I’m currently in the east coast which means I’ve made quite a few trips to Washington D.C. Until recently, I didn’t realize that D.C. is such an easy city to get in and out of, even in a car. I think I went to the city probably 3 or 4 times in one week. I had the opportunity to eat at many different restaurants, look at beautiful architecture that I had never seen before and go to some art galleries! One of the main reasons I went was to check out The Art of the Qur’an Exhibition; Treasures from the Museums of Turkish and Islamic Arts. It’s being displayed in the Freer and Sackler Gallery at the Smithsonian until February 20, 2017. And it’s FREE. That’s one thing that I love about the Smithsonian, there are so many museums to see at no cost! There’s literally no excuse for…

Wednesday Wisdom – Keep your face to the sunshine…
Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow. -Helen Keller I love this quote! Always look forward and be positive! If you have a positive attitude in life, it will be easier to avoid the negative and pessimistic thoughts in your mind.
Restaurant Review – Home 231 in Harrisburg, PA
Current status: in Harrisburg, PA For those who are new to the blog, I come here often because my sister lives here so I’m constantly trying to find new places to eat and things to do. (but mostly eat). This time around, I went to a place called Home 231 which is located in the heart of downtown Harrisburg. What attracted me to this restaurant is that they use fresh ingredients from local farms which I always like to support! It was a nice and cozy restaurant, a perfect time to come to it after having walked around a while on a chilly evening. When we sat down and saw the menu, I immediately knew I wanted to order the Hanger Steak. However, I still wanted to ask the waitress what is the most popular item on the menu (I do this often when I come to a new restaurant).…
